These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bhala AI website, APIs, and services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Services

You may use our Services only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and account credentials. You agree not to use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Services.

2. API Usage

Access to Bhala APIs is subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan. You agree not to exceed your allocated rate limits or attempt to circumvent any usage restrictions. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access to accounts that violate these restrictions.

3. Data and Privacy

We do not store or retain the text content you submit through our APIs beyond what is necessary to process your request. API usage metadata (request counts, token usage) is retained for billing and service improvement purposes. For the Bhala Keyboard, typing patterns are anonymized before being used for model improvement.

4. Intellectual Property

The Services, including our language models, APIs, documentation, and all related technology, are owned by Bhala AI. You retain ownership of the content you submit to our APIs and the output generated from that content.

5. Limitation of Liability

Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Bhala AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
